ROANOKE, Va. – A gala was held at the Grandin Theatre, in partnership with the Harrison Museum, for the 10th Anniversary of the Black History Month Film Festival.
The kickoff event is part of a series called “A Month of Micheaux” honoring the legacy of Filmmaker Oscar Micheaux.
Organizers say the goal is to educate, spark conversation and highlight the importance of Black History through cinema.
