Alleghany Highlands Public Schools will be opening two hours late due to dense fog in parts of the area and icy conditions, according to school officials.
“The safety of our students and staff is our top priority,” the school district said. “Families and staff are encouraged to use extra caution while traveling and allow additional time for their morning commute.”
