ROANOKE, Va. – A man died after a hit-and-run crash involving a moped and a pickup truck late Tuesday night in Roanoke, according to the Roanoke Police Department. Authorities say the truck left the scene.
Officers responded to the 1100 block of Orange Avenue Northeast shortly before midnight, where they found the moped driver with serious injuries. Police said the man died at the scene.

At this time, westbound Orange Avenue is closed between 13th Street and Hollins Road Northeast. The roadway is expected to reopen by the morning rush hour.
