LEXINGTON (WSLS-10 SPORTS)- Tuesday marked picture day at the home of the Keydets. Later this fall this squad is hoping to burn some indelible images into the minds of the foster stadium crowds..
VMI is hoping for a turnaround season after a 2-9 year that was marked by near miss after near miss.
Junior quarterback Al Cobb is one of five players named to the preseason first team All SoCon squad. He's ranked second in career passing with more than five-thousand yards.
The team knows the key this season is all about 'finishing games.'
"That's one thing coach walk is been emphasizing completely we have to win the turnover battle and not something that leads us to not finishing the game is what we wanted to be a lot of it is." explains Cobb.
"They've got to trust in each other they got a believe and then they got to have confidence and so we trying to execute that every day," says head coach Scott Wachenheim.
VMI opens against Akron on September 3rd.
