Lexington, Va. – The 1st and 10 ‘Trophy Tour 2022′ rolls into Lexington. At Rockbridge County High School, Wildcats quarterback Miller Jay torched previous undefeated challenger Staunton High. Jay tossed five touchdown passes in the first half of a week four route of the visiting Storm. Rockbridge County rolled to the win, and Jay earned the hardware. Yours truly (John Appicello) traveled to Lexington with 10 Sports Eric Johnson to visit with Miller and coach Mark Poston. Poston has certainly coached a few great high school quarterbacks in his day. Coach Poston says Miller had all the right stuff to lead the Wildcats.
“It was his pocket presence, you know? He would stay in the pocket and work through the progressions. And the other thing that to that all of our quarterbacks gotta have is -- they have to be smart!“ Poston explained.
“I want to play football at the next level it’s just a matter of where and when I’ll get that opportunity. But I’ll be patient and wait for whatever comes my way,” Miller explained.
