Corley Peel

Reporter

Corley Peel is a passionate News Reporter for KPRC 2. She joined the team in March 2023 and while she is new to Houston, she is not new to the Lone Star State. The Texas native grew up in Midlothian. Corley has a passion for digging and storytelling. Her goal is to help give a voice to the voiceless and find answers for the community.

Before making her way to Houston, she was a reporter and weekend anchor at WJXT in Jacksonville, Florida. While in the Sunshine State, she covered many notable storms like Hurricane Irma, and many trials that gained national attention including the disappearance and murder of Joleen Cummings and her killer, Kimberly Kessler. Corley also flew to Haiti with the U.S. Navy VP-Mad Foxes following a deadly 7.2 earthquake. The Emmy-nominated journalist also received the “Courageous Communicator” award from the University of North Florida. Corley has also worked at news stations in Tulsa and in Joplin, Missouri, earlier in her career.

The Texas Tech alum, is a huge fan of her red raiders (even when its tough). When she’s not chasing down a lead, Corley loves to spend time with her family, go swimming at the beach and snuggle with her cat Lovie!
