North Alabama (3-9, 2-1 ASUN) suffers its first conference loss of the season. North Alabama Individuals: Jaida Bond – 22 points, 10 rebounds; Jaila Roberts – 10 points, 7 rebounds, 4 assists; Sakyia White – 8 points, 8 rebounds. North Alabama was the last ASUN opponent to defeat Liberty (86-75 on Feb. 8, 2020). Up NextLiberty and North Alabama will wrap up their two-game weekend series Sunday at 2 p.m. inside Liberty Arena.

James Bond film ‘No Time To Die’ pushed again, to 2021

The release of the James Bond film “No Time To Die” has been delayed again, this time to 2021, because of the effects of COVID-19 on the theatrical business. “No Time To Die” was originally supposed to open in April 2020 but was pushed back to Nov. 12 in the U.K. and Nov. 20 in the U.S. The Walt Disney Co. last week delayed the planned 2020 releases of a handful of major movies until 2021. They include Marvel’s “Black Widow” and Steven Spielberg’s “West Side Story.” Universal delayed “Candyman” to next year. Some major releases are still planned for 2020.

Man distracted gas station employees to grab cash, Lynchburg police say

LYNCHBURG, Va. - Lynchburg police are looking for a man who they say distracted gas station employees and grabbed cash. It happened Thursday evening at the Marathon gas station on Wards Road. Police say the man drove off in a white vehicle after taking the money. They believe that he lives in either Lynchburg or Campbell County. Anyone with information is asked to call Officer Bond with the Lynchburg Police Department at (434) 455-6060, extension 550.
