The Rockbridge County Sheriff’s Office announced Sunday that it had arrested two individuals and charged them with child neglect and drug offenses.

“Decisions made by agency leadership... were contrary to state law, regulation, and policy.”

Two people were charged in connection with the death of a 2-year-old girl in Christiansburg, according to the Christiansburg Police Department.
