You may have heard about plans to build a ferris wheel on the roof of Center in the Square. While the idea has hit a bit of a hurdle, leaders say the project isn’t going anywhere anytime soon.

Public reaction has been mixed, but mostly positive. Regardless, it certainly has everyone talking. 10 News asked local delegate if he would request state money for the study needed.

If successful, the Ferris wheel could become a shining new star on Roanoke’s skyline and a fresh attraction to energize downtown.
