One man is dead and another is in the hospital after an incident in Pulaski County, according to the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office.

Dozens of notebooks, scripts, speeches, drafts of letters, artwork and even signed baseballs owned by the late playwright Neil Simon have been donated to the Library of Congress.

Oscar-winning lyricist Marilyn Bergman has died at age 93 after a long career in which she teamed with her husband on songs including “The Way We Were."

Tony Award-winning choreographer Bob Avian dies at 83

(AP Photo/Shiho Fukada, File)NEW YORK – Bob Avian, a Tony Award-winning choreographer who had a role in some of the most beloved and influential shows on Broadway, including “Dreamgirls,” “A Chorus Line,” “Follies” and “Miss Saigon,” has died. Avian earned six Tony nominations and won twice, for choreographing “Ballroom” and co-choreographing “A Chorus Line.” He won an Oliver Award for choreographing Boublil and Schonberg's musical “Martin Guerre” in London. Avian's association with “A Chorus Line” continued when he directed the 2006 revival on Broadway and the London revival at the Palladium in 2013.

2012: Composer, conductor and pianist Marvin Hamlisch dies at age 68 in Los Angeles, California, following a short illness, primarily due to respiratory arrest caused by a combination of anoxic brain encephalopathy and hypertension. Hamlisch was one of only 11 EGOTs -- those who have won an Emmy, Grammy, Oscar and Tony. He was also one of only two people to have won those four prizes and a Pulitzer Prize (the other being Richard Rodgers). Hamlisch also won two Golden Globes. He composed the score for the 1975 Broadway musical "A Chorus Line" and some of the movies he scored include "The Sting," "The Way We Were," "The Spy Who Loved Me," "Ordinary People" and "Sophie's Choice."
