A Lynchburg middle school is on lockdown following reports of a student possibly in possession of a gun, Lynchburg Police Department said.

A search for Lynchburg City School’s next superintendent is underway, and the school board wants to hear input from community members.

Lynchburg firefighters are at Sandusky Middle School after a small fire in a storage room at the school.
