The Troutville Fire Department announced Friday that multiple units were on the scene of a tractor-trailer crash at the 149.6-mile marker on I-81 Southbound. The right lane and right shoulder are closed at this time and the public is beig asked to find alternative routes at this time.
Just after 5 a.m. on Friday, the Troutville Fire Training Center in Botetourt County was severely damaged in a fire. The building, located next to the Troutville Fire Department, has long been used to train emergency responders across Southwestern Virginia.
DALEVILLE, Va. - Crews responded to an early morning fire in Botetourt County, according to the Troutville Fire Department. Authorities say the basement fire happened in Daleville on Friday morning. While on the way, crews were told that there was heavy smoke coming from the house and possibly one dog inside. The fire was marked under control about 30 minutes after crews arrived.
