ROANOKE, Va. – Ben Cline has won the Republican nomination for the U.S. House in Virginia’s 6th Congressional District, according to the Associated Press.

Ben Cline and Merritt Hale went head to head for the 6th District, which covers Roanoke, Lynchburg and most of the Shenandoah Valley.

Cline has held the seat since the 2019 retirement of Republican Bob Goodlatte.
