BLACKSBURG (WSLS 10) - Forbes magazine listed Virginia Tech on its list of top 25 public colleges.
Tech came in 23 on the list. The magazine called Virginia Tech "the commonwealth's most comprehensive university" and "leading research institution."

The latest list from Forbes is not the first on which Tech landed in 2015. In another list from Forbes, Virginia Tech was ranked at number 122 of 650 institutions in the annual "America's Top Colleges" rankings.
Virginia Tech was named in the top 10 percent of universities in the world by Quacquarelli Symonds, (QS) World University Rankings. The school also placed No. 26 among public institutions and No. 70 among all national universities on U.S. News & World Report's list of "America's Best Colleges 2016."
Virginia Tech was awarded a statewide Virginia Values Veterans (V3) Governor's Award for hiring more veterans than any other state agency in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
