Leslie Dickerson speaks out after murder charges dropped

RADFORD (WSLS) - A Pulaski County man accused of murder speaks out less than one day after his charges are dropped.

Leslie Dickerson and his sister Ginger say relief is their biggest emotion now after Dickerson was released from jail Monday. The Pulaski County Commonwealth Attorney's office dropped Dickerson's murder charge in connection to the death of his former wife, Mindy Dickerson.  She died back in 2005.

Dickerson called the case built against him more of an obsession rather than an investigation.  Both Leslie and Ginger say they hope this brings closure, but that Mindy Dickerson would not have wanted them to go through this ordeal.

Leslie Dickerson says he plans to spend the week with his family in the Pulaski area, then return home to Texas to be with his wife and children.

The Pulaski County Commonwealth Attorney could not be reached for comment.
