"Kicked by Grace" could have been filmed anywhere, but everyone involved with the movie said they wanted to showcase the City of Roanoke and its police force.

Now that the scenes have been filmed, the next task is editing them. While that won't take place in Roanoke, the premier will.

"I think slowly and surely the word will get out that the Roanoke Valley overall is a beautiful setting, we're warm, we're nice friendly individuals here and we bend over backwards to assist folks," Travis Akins explained, Crime Prevention Specialist.

"A lot of businesses and people helped to make this film way better, we had so much cooperation," said Rick Garside, "Kicked by Grace" producer.

Garside says the movie will likely premier in the Roanoke Valley in late 2015 or early 2016.
