Deputies say Charles E. Taylor, 59, of Christiansburg, Va., was found dead inside his residence on Den Hill Road Saturday, April 4, 2015.Â
On Sunday, April 5 both
suspects involved with the homicide were located in North Carolina. Â
Amanda Barbara Nichole Taylor, 24, of Christiansburg, Va., was arrested by the North Carolina Highway Patrol and was being held in McDowell County Jail awaiting extradition to Montgomery County.Â
Sean Edward Ball, 32, of Blacksburg, Va., was located separately at a hospital in North Carolina. He had a life threatening injury, however, police say he was listed in critical but stable condition, and will also be held awaiting extradition to Montgomery County. Â
The two were expected to have an extradition hearing, but officials in North Carolina said Monday the hearing had been continued to May 6.
Deputies said around 9:30 p.m, Saturday they were called to the 800 block of Den Hill Road in the Ellett area for reports of a possible homicide. When they arrived on scene, authorities say they found the body of Charles E. Taylor.Â
The couple was last seen in a white 2003 jeep grand Cherokee with VA license plates WNE-3134 before they were apprehended in North Carolina.Â
Deputies say this investigation is an on-going multi-jurisdictional effort that involves many agencies from Montgomery County all the way to North Carolina where the subjects were apprehended. They say some of the agencies who have provided direct assistance were the Blacksburg Police Department, Christiansburg Police Department, U.S. Marshall's Office, and North Carolina Highway Patrol. Â
