BLACKSBURG (WSLS 10) -Virginia Tech's stepped through 14 practices this spring dating back to March 24.

The Hokies practice schedule included three open scrimmages. But the 15th and final one--might well be the most important. The Virginia Tech annual spring game set for Saturday gives the Hokies coaching staff a chance to see the young talent - performing under pressure.

Associate Head Coach and Running Backs Coach Shane Beamer explains what the coaches are looking for when they kick it off Saturday afternoon in Blacksburg.

"You know the biggest thing in a spring game situation is watching our guys compete in front of a large crowd.  Some guys when the lights go on so to speak they elevate their games to a different level,  and some guys unfortunately--the moment is too big for them. So I'm just eager to see our young guys and see how they perform," explains Coach Shane Beamer.
