FRANKLIN COUNTY (WSLS 10) - The Franklin County Sheriff's Office said it found Hope Mcvey Perdue in a garage after it began investigating the 'suspicious death' of a three-year-old child in her care.
Perdue was found in the garage of a home on Byrds Mill Road around 4:00 p.m. Charges are now pending against her.

Deputies were looking for Perdue after a 3-year-old in her care was found dead in her home Tuesday morning. She reportedly fled the scene of her home on foot at approximately 4:30 a.m.. The Sheriff's Office said the foster father called early Tuesday morning about the child.
The house located in the 7000 block of Old Franklin Turnpike in Glade Hill was blocked off with police tape. Around 80 searchers from Pittsylvania County, state police and Virginia Department of Emergency Management (VDEM) helped Franklin County officials set up a two-mile search around the home she was last seen.
David and Hope Perdue have several children. Two of them are foster children. One is the three-year-old boy who was found dead. The other was being taken care of by social services. The couple's other children are with family.
David Perdue was not being considered a suspect and was interviewed by officials. He's with his family now. Officials are not naming Hope Perdue a suspect, but a person of interest.
Perdue's friends and family had been interviewed by officers.
Lt. Young with the Franklin County Sheriff's Office said the department obtained a search warrant for the home. Virginia State Police were called to the scene to assist, as well as multiple K-9 units.
