RADFORD (WSLS 10) - Changes are coming to Radford City schools this year. In the school board's May 12 meeting, members voted to change the grading scale from a 6-point to 10-point scale.

Parents say the new scale may not prepare their students for college.

One parent filed for a judicial review, claiming the school board did not vote properly according to "Robert's Rule of Order," which is a guideline the school board follows.

In the review, the mother claimed the debate was brought up about the school grade scale changes, but one school board member interrupted another and asked for a vote without ending the debate.

Parents with children in Radford City schools say the new scale could confuse and discourage students.

The review is on the judge's desk and a decision will be made in a couple of weeks.
