NELSON COUNTY (WSLS 10) - The young woman who became Miss Nelson County died early Thursday morning from injuries sustained in a serious accident last month.
Whitney Loving was involved in a car crash on June 26, 2015 and was taken to UVA Hospital Medical Center to undergo brain surgery.

Wilson's platform at the pageant was "bringing God into people's lives," said members with the Miss Nelson, VA pageant. They said more than 11,000 people prayed daily for this young lady.
A candlelight vigil has been planned for Friday, July 10 on the softball field at Nelson County High School to celebrate Whitney's life.
