Bobby Walker's dad, James Walker, went missing nearly 15 years ago. He said his father lived in a trailer near Monday's digging site. Walker said he isn't sure if the search is related to his father's case. In recent months Taylor's Mountain has been the focus of another high profile case, the Lyon sisters. Katherine and Sheila Lyon went missing nearly 40 years ago.

Sheriff Brown said he can't confirm or deny whether the excavation is related to the Lyon sisters or James Walker's case. Bobby Walker said he hopes investigators find evidence to help families with missing loved ones find closure.

"Just wanting to find out something" Walker said. "Get some confirmation of where he is at."

Sheriff Brown says search crews are expected to continue digging throughout this week.
