BLACKSBURG (WSLS 10) - Virginia Tech has barred a fraternity following a complaint made earlier this year about hazing.

Senior Associate Vice President for Student Affairs Frank Shushok Jr. said the fraternity, Kappa Sigma Nu Prime Colony, lost their recognition in October following an investigation.

The anonymous complaint was made in the spring of 2015.

After review, a hearing officer found the organization responsible for hazing and disorderly conduct. This is the second time the fraternity has lost their recognition with Virginia Tech.

Kappa Sigma Nu Prime Colony was recently re-established in 2014 after being barred in 2009 for conduct violations related to destruction of property and alcohol, among other violations.

Virginia Tech may have severed their relationship with the fraternity - but the organization remains in good standing on the national level.

The Associated Press contributed to this report.
