SALEM (WSLS) - Volunteers at the Salem Civic Center teamed up with an organization to give a boy named Carter Craig and his family a break and allowed him to be a "rodeo king."

Carter met with rodeo clowns, bull riders, and even had his hat signed by some famous cowboys.

This was all coordinated through dreaming of three's Rodeo Kids program.

Dreaming of Three invites families who have been affected by medical problems and shows them a true "night out" without worry it's something that puts a smile on carter's parents faces.

"It's pretty special, it's a pretty special day for them, it's also really nice because our life started to revolve around hospitals and doctors every few weeks and this is a complete break from it," Michelle Craig, Carter's mother said.

We'll feature Carter and hear from the Rodeo King Sunday night at 5.
