ROANOKE (WSLS10)-- Work is almost complete on the brand new Hampton Inn & Suites in Downtown Roanoke. The 127 room hotel is being built on top of the Market Garage on Church Avenue.
Construction began in 2014 and the project is expected to be complete by mid-June.

David Berger, with Hospitality America, a Brentwood, Tennessee based company, says having the lobby on the ground level, rooms on the 7, 8 and 9th floors with the garage in between, will make for a unique one of a kind hotel option for this region.
There will be lobby facilities along the Church Avenue facade that will ultimately stretch around the northeast corner to fill approximately 11,500 sq. ft. of space for the new hotel lobby, offices, breakfast lounge, and fitness area.
