Cann, her husband and their two young children live in Roanoke and have lived in their current home for the past 15 years.

As the grand prize winner, she will receive a full kitchen remodel, which includes new cabinets, appliances, countertops, floors, backsplash and lighting from the product lines of the contest's sponsors: The Cabinet Gallery, Interiors by Kris and Ferguson.

All of their existing kitchen cabinetry will be donated to Habitat for Humanity.

The renovations will start in the next two months and the process will be shared via social media.

"I didn't think we even had a chance," said Cann. "When they called and told me we were finalists I was too afraid to tell anyone. I didn't want to jinx anything. Then when they showed up to announce that we had won, I was speechless. It was such an incredible moment. Thank you so much."

Contest submissions were accepted from February 1, 2016 through March 31, 2016 and over 150 entries were received. From the entries, five finalists were selected and visited in person. Finalists were announced via social media on Monday, April 18.
