CAMPBELL COUNTY (WSLS 10) - Chief Jerry Womack from Brookville - Timberlake Volunteer Fire Department said 8 apartment units were destroyed during a fire. Womack said seven families are displaced and one of the units was vacant.
According to fire officials, five departments responded to the fire at White Stone Village Apartments. It happened around 3 p.m. Sunday. The cause of the fire remains under investigation. Several people were inside at the time and were able to get out safely. The fire chief estimates approximately $200,000 dollars in damages. The American Red Cross is assisting the families affected by the fire.
