Cause of death confirmed in Lynchburg industrial accident

LYNCHBURG (WSLS 10) - The Virginia Department of Labor and Industry is investigating the death of a man at Griffin Pipe Products in Lynchburg, according to the Southwest Regional Safety Director.

The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Roanoke ruled Jesse Horsley's cause of death as mechanical asphyxia. The manner was "accidental."

The 56-year-old died on Wednesday night, after he was trapped by scrap metal in an industrial accident.
