RINGGOLD, Va. – Elkay will cease manufacturing cabinets at its Ringgold plant, which will affect the plant's 150 employees.
The company is offering relocation packages to employees to work at its other assembly plants in Indiana, Minnesota and Oregon.

Elkay plans to convert the Ringgold plant into a plumbing warehouse and distribution center by mid-September. A small number of employees from the cabinet plant will be able to transition into similar roles at the plumbing distribution center.
“We want to stress that this transition has nothing to do with the efforts of our Ringgold team. We sincerely hope that the majority of our employees elect to apply for roles within the company,” said Linda Carlisle, Elkay spokeswoman.
Elkay will be offering job transition support to employees who choose not to relocate.
