ROANOKE, Va. – A Roanoke man charged in connection with a cold case murder will spend decades in prison.
Ronnie Thomas entered a no contest plea Monday to several charges including first-degree murder. Thomas' charges stem from the 2010 death of Tushawn Drew. According to police, Drew was shot and killed as he sat in the back of a car at a traffic light near the Kirk Family YMCA on Church Avenue.

Thomas was originally sentenced to life in prison, but will serve 30 years. Upon release, he will serve 10 years of supervised probation.Â
A second suspect, Timothy Price Jr., pleaded guilty in February. He will be sentenced on August 24.
