Police: Teenager Sinahi Aguilar Cruz was abducted

WOODBRIDGE – UPDATE: Virginia State Police say abducted teenager Sinahi Aguilar Cruz has been found safe in Prince William County. 

The suspect has been taken into custody.

ORIGINAL STORY: An Amber Alert has been issued for a 16-year-old girl who, was taken against her will by a 21-year-old man, according to Virginia State Police. She is believed to be in extreme danger.

The Virginia State Police and Virginia Missing Children Clearinghouse issued the Amber Alert for the child abduction of Sinahi Aguilar Cruz, of Prince William County at 1:43 a.m. Sunday.

Cruz is described as a white, 5 feet 2 inches tall and 125 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. She has long, straight, brown hair and was last seen wearing a white with purple striped long-sleeve shirt, denim jean pants and a light-colored jacket.

Cruz is believed to be in extreme danger and was last seen at 14807 Danville Road in Woodbridge.


According to Virginia State Police, Cruz was likely abducted by Roberto Medrano Segovia. Segovia is described as a Hispanic man with brown eyes and short black hair. He was last seen wearing a black, V-neck T-shirt,baggy, blue denim jeans and white Nike Jordan shoes.

They may be traveling in a dark Honda Civic, possibly a hatchback, according to police.
