Parents of Molly Meghan Miller release letter after daughter's death, give full support of fiance

Miller was found dead in her residence Monday night

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – The parents of 31-year-old Molly Meghan Miller wrote a letter Tuesday after their daughter, who was reported missing on Friday, was found dead on Monday.

In the letter, Dano and Marian McConnell call their daughter "a free spirit, a light in our lives, creative, loving, fiercely independent, and a seeker of truth."

"Although Molly left us in body, her spirit and soul are forever present. She is a present to us; a true gift. We will always refer to Molly in the present tense – she is not gone – she is in a better place and at peace."

They also announced their support for Miller's fiance, Anson Parker, writing, "Anson is Family and has our 100% support and we are standing by him to help him any way we can."

The letter goes on to thank the Charlottesville Police Department and other agencies for their help with the search, as well as family, friends and neighbors.

They are planning an outdoor celebration of life memorial service for sometime in the future.
