PITTSYLVANIA COUNTY, Va. – Three people were found dead and two others were taken to the hospital after an incident in Pittsylvania County Friday night, according to the Pittsylvania County Sheriff's Office.
Two of the deceased were identified as 42-year-old Twana Rhodes Davis and 44-year-old Jason Owen Davis, deputies said. A 12-year-old was also found dead, according to deputies.
Officers say the incident is believed to be a domestic dispute, but they're not sure how the child was involved.
The incident happened at 3197 Shula Drive in the Hurt community.
Deputies said the two victims taken to a hospital had gunshot wounds and were identified as 64-year-old Patricia Poindexter, the mother of Rhodes Davis, and 62-year-old Deborah Isabel Rhodes, the aunt of Rhodes Davis.
After hearing their statements, police issued felony warrants against Jason Davis for 2 counts of malicious wounding, one count of shooting into an occupied vehicle and one count of using a firearm in the commission of a felony.
That's when investigators went to the Shula Drive home and discovered the bodies.
The incident is under investigation, and deputies consider this an isolated incident.
