NBCDFW shares that, "A spokesman for the Gaines' business, Magnolia, says the couple has long admired the castle and previously made attempts to purchase it."

Vacant for about 20 years, construction on the castle first began in 1890 and was completed in 1913. Spokesman John Marsicano adds that the couple does not have any specific plans for the 6,700-square-foot property, but that they plan to complete the castle's restoration soon.
