Restoring a colorful piece of WSLS television history

The 1960s camera appears to have worked nearly 7,500 hours

ROANOKE, Va. – Now in our new state-of-the-art studio, there is one piece of equipment that stands out.

This old color television camera, a piece of WSLS history, got a major facelift, thanks to Roanoke's Tay Whiteside.

It appears the camera worked nearly 7,500 hours of operation, bringing colorful stories to life.
