UTC issued an “All Clear” alert and the lockdown has been lifted after law enforcement found no evidence of a threat. All classes and activities have been cancelled until Friday.

The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga has issued a ‘possible active shooter’ alert, instructing all individuals on campus to remain in lockdown.

“Possible active shooter in the University Center or Library. Run. Hide. Fight. More info forthcoming,” the university said on social media.

Campus facilities are currently being searched by police, and all individuals on campus are advised to stay put and not move unless directed by law enforcement.

The Chattanooga Police Department is working alongside the UTC Police Department to verify reports of shots fired. At this time, no victims have been located, authorities said.
