ORIGINAL STORY
All southbound traffic on Interstate 81 is closed about 2 miles south of the Buchanan exit.
At 1:18 p.m a crash involving two tractor-trailers and another vehicle at mile marker 160.1 has all lanes currently closed.
Rescue crews are at the scene, working to extract one person trapped in one of the vehicles.
State police say there are injuries in the crash.
VDOT has established a detour to route traffic to Route 11.
It’s unknown when the lanes will reopen.
