BIG ISLAND, Va. – Authorities are investigating a fatal crash in Bedford County.
According to the Big Island Volunteer Fire Department, the crash happened early Saturday morning on Lee Jackson Highway in Coleman Falls. A portion of Route 501 closed while crews investigate and clear the scene. The road reopened around 10 a.m.
