Thousands without power as rain continues to move through southwest and central Virginia (Appalachian Power)

Thousands of people were without power on Thursday as rain moved through southwest and central Virginia.

At one point Thursday morning there were more than 2,800 outages. As of 4:58 p.m., it was down to 376 Virginia customer outages, according to Appalachian Power.

  • Roanoke City: 92
  • Bedford County: 16
  • Henry County: 13
  • Franklin County: 8
  • Carroll County: 6
