90-year-old pedestrian dies after crash in Lynchburg

LYNCHBURG, Va. – Police in Lynchburg say a man is dead after a crash on Thanksgiving.

It happened just after 3 p.m. on Linkhorne Road at Circle Road. Officers arrived to find a pedestrian who had been hit by a vehicle.

The victim, 90-year-old Paul Royer, of Lynchburg, was taken to Lynchburg General Hospital where he died from his injuries.

The crash investigation is ongoing.
