Man sentenced to life in prison after deadly 2020 Roanoke shooting

He was also given an additional 10 years on top of the life sentence

ROANOKE, Va. – A man was sentenced in connection to a deadly shooting that happened in September 2020.

As we reported, Ahmad Mubdi, 51, shot and killed Derrick Bostick, 35, on Sept. 12, 2020, outside of a Roanoke bar on Bridge Street.

Back in February, he was found guilty of first-degree murder in the 2020 Roanoke shooting.

Mubdi was originally arrested for malicious wounding.

On Thursday, a judge sentenced him to life in prison plus an additional 10 years.
