30-year-old flown to hospital after shooting in Martinsville

Happened at about 11:11 p.m. on Tuesday

MARTINSVILLE, Va. – A 30-year-old was sent to the hospital following a shooting Wednesday night (Nov.2) in Martinsville, according to the Martinsville Police Department.

We’ve been informed that the victim, Jonathan Jeral Brim, was transported to Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital by air ambulance for non-life-threatening injuries.

Authorities say the shooting happened at about 11:11 p.m., and after speaking with witnesses at the ER, authorities determined that it likely happened near 1159 Yorkshire Rd.

After arriving at the scene, officers learned that an altercation had occurred in the parking lot.

While there, Martinsville Police were able to gather evidence, process the scene and speak with residents from the apartment building.
