Danville fire crews responding to ‘very large fire’ at Celotex

DANVILLE, Va. – The Danville Fire Department is responding to what they say is a “very large fire” at Celotex.

Crews said they have issued a recall of 15 off-duty firefighters to help out.

In a Facebook post, the fire department asked residents to avoid the area because of smoke from the fire.

Around 6:15 p.m., the department posted that crews were still on the scene at Celotex.

Crews said dinner is being prepared for the firefighters nearby as they continue to control the fire.
