PATRICK COUNTY, Va. – Patrick County Public Schools includes seven schools, serving around 2,500 students. The district beefed up its security this school year by investing:
- More than $232,000 on two-way radio systems
- Nearly $38,000 on enclosed entrances and lobbies that require individuals to be scanned in
- $22,000 to install fiber lines that run to the athletic fields
- Close to $46,000 to mount cameras at the athletic fields.
