According to Virginia State Police, a fuel spill from the tractor-trailer crash on Interstate I-81 southbound has been cleaned up.
As of 2:45 p.m., we’re told officials are opening the detour on the interstate.
ORIGINAL STORY
A tractor-trailer crash on Interstate 81 southbound in Salem is slowing down traffic.
As of 4:33 p.m., there is a 1-mile backup at the 138.4 mile marker.
There was also a crash on I-81 northbound in Roanoke County Friday morning, but that has since been cleared.
No word yet on any injuries.
