BUENA VISTA, Va. – Leaders from the non-profit Rockbridge Recovery are doing what they can to support area veterans.
The Rockbridge Recovery Group Center is where veterans will be able to share their post-military experiences and the stress that followed them home through a veteran’s peer support group.
This new location in Buena Vista helps bridge the gap for area veterans that used to have options only in Salem and Staunton.
“You’re looking at 45 minutes to an hour either way to get help so this kind of centralizes it for the area and brings those services to them,” Ashley Jennings, Program Admin Rock Bridge Recovery, said.
Participants will have to sign up in advance and provide proof of their service. Weekly meetings will be on Fridays at 5:30 p.m.
