Vinton Police investigating bank robbery Monday, in search of suspect

VINTON, Va. – The Vinton Police Dept. is currently investigating a bank robbery that occurred at Truist Bank on Monday.

According to VPD, officers responded to the location at 210 Washington Ave. The suspect was a man wearing a camouflage hoodie and a mask covering his face.

According to police, the man entered the bank and demanded an undisclosed amount of money, officials say no gun was produced.

Once the suspect had the money he left the bank on foot and ran through the parking lot toward N. Poplar St.

No arrests have been made and Vinton Police say the incident is currently under investigation.
