ROANOKE, Va – Dozens of people protested President Trump’s immigration policies in Roanoke Monday evening.
Protesters gathered at the old Sheetz on Williamson Road and Orange Avenue.
Protesters carried signs and flags to make their voices heard amidst a major crackdown on undocumented immigrants.
“I just wanted to come support, I have immigrant parents here. If it wasn’t for them, I wouldn’t have the opportunities I have now. I mean I have family and friends that could get deported,” said Laura, who attended the rally.
Other protesters shared cards with information on immigration rights and what to do if I.C.E agents show up.
