River Turtles drop home opener 6-3 to Princeton
PULASKI, Va. – The Princeton WhistlePigs spoiled the Pulaski River Turtles home opener on Saturday night, with a 6-3 ball game.
In front of a packed crowd at historic Calfee Park, the WhistlePigs managed to collect 12 hits while Justin Showalter was the winning pitcher who allowed one run on six hits in four innings of work.
Pulaski did tally a late home run from Connor Gore in the eighth inning. The same two teams will meet at 7 p.m. on Sunday.
