Cedar Rapids, IA – The Hornets impressive run in Cedar Rapids, IA continued on Monday with another victory over East Texas Baptist to reach the finals series.
Lynchburg’s run through Bracket B included an 8-6 win over Wisconsin-Lacrosse, and wins of 8-3 and 7-1 over East Texas Baptist to advance.

Lynchburg jumped out to a 4-1 lead after two innings and never looked back in winning the Bracket final. Avery Neaves led with way with a 2-4 day at the plate that included 3 runs batted in and a run scored.
The Hornets will now face Johns Hopkins beginning on Wednesday at 1 pm in the best of three finals series. Games 2 and 3--if necessary--will happen Thursday.
